We are proud to announce that Tull, the pendant and floor lamp designed for us by Tommaso Caldera, is finally available on our ecommerce in all the three finishes: orange/beige, turquoise/orange and anthracite/ turquoise.
Tommaso draws inspiration from old working tools and classic materials, which he revisits with a minimalistic and modern twist. The design of the lamp arose from a reinterpretation of the old lamps we can usually find in workshops or warehouses. The first idea of this object was to try to change its environment and bring it from a typical industrial and very mechanical setting to a domestic one, softening its shape. The challenge was to work on the aesthetics, on the language of this type of lamp, to make an object in which beauty is also useful.
The wire cage, which in these old lamps had the sole purpose of protecting the light source, has been redesigned to accommodate the shade and to influence the light and shape shadows. The result is an object with softened and continuous shapes, characterised by a calibrated and essential design, combining purity of line with beauty and functionality. A lamp whose aesthetic is appreciated both when it is switched on and when it is off.
