Sovrappensiero Design Studio was set up in Milano in 2007 as a creative partnership between Lorenzo De Rosa and Ernesto Iadevaia, who are originally from Campania.
Their first project, Design for Blind People, is exhibited at Satellite 2008 in Milan. It is focused on research, as well the iconic work for Manerba selected for the ADI design index.
They work for Mamoli Robinetteria, Porada and Seletti.
Alongside product, they design interiors and comunication and teach at the Politecnico di Milano.
In 2013 they got in touch with Roberto Hoz who was scouting for new designers and, after this meeting, they decided to be part of this new reality.
Their persuasion is that any object has an history and this history should be either clear and explicit or that should be found in the object shapes.
