Tommaso Caldera

Born in 1986, he graduated in 2012 in Industrial Design at the Politecnico di Milano. Between 2008 and 2012 he worked as a Junior and Senior Designer in Odo Fioravanti's studio, before moving to New York for working in Jonathan Olivares' studio.
In 2012, he started working with Italian design brands, which lead him to present at the Salone del Mobile in the same year his first pieces as independent designer.
In September 2013, he is selected from the Italian Cultural Institute of New York as Top Young Industrial Designer.
In his studio, based in Pavia, he is responsible for the product design for both Italian and international companies.
Tommaso began his collaboration following two different guidelines: the requirement of editing few projects already at the prototype phase as well as the desire of designing specifically for the opening collection of Incipit.
His approach is strictly linked with the customer needs so when he start designing he always has a very clear focus on the final client expectations.
